Commonwealth Games 2018, Mirabai Chanu, P Gururaja shine for India on day 1

On day 1 at Commonwealth Games 2018, Gold Coast, Australia, weightlifters Mirabai Chanu and P Gururaja won Gold and Silver respectively.

P Gururaja is first Indian to won medal (Silver) in #GC2018 games at Gold Coast, Australia. And the Manipuri powerhouse Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is first Indian to win Gold at #GC2018 games by breaking three CWG records. In the snatch, Mirabai lifted 80, 84, 86 kgs in her three attempts respectively, while in Clean and Jerk she lifted 103, 107 and 110 kgs in her three lifts respectively. With a total of 196 kgs, Mirabai Chanu also set a Commonwealth Record and a Commonwealth Games Record.
