IAF Mi-17 Helicopter Crash at Kedarnath Temple, one injured

During landing at Kedarnath temple, the Indian Air Force Helicopter Mi-17 crashed at a height of only 20meters. The helicopter was carrying some constructing materials which caught on fire with an iron glider while landing at the helipad. The helicopter was carrying 3 IAF crew members and 4 laborers. There was no loss of human being, however, one crew member injured in this accident.

Mi-17 is a cargo helicopter, provided by a Russian company Kazan Helicopters. It can carry/take-off weight of 13quintals or 36 persons with 4.5quintal of the load.
