PANAFEST is a famous festival of Ghana, Africa. PANAFEST means to Pan African Historical Theatre Festival; which is a national festival occurs every two year in Ghana of Africa. Begin in the year 1992, the famous festival is held for international integration, cultural affiliation as well to develop the African continent. It became an international festival since its second event on 1994; when participants, delegates and individuals arrived from African, Caribbean, South American, European counties and as well as U.S.

Ghana was under slavery since 1650s; first by British, then Dutch, again British and later French emperors. The Cape Coast, capital of Central Ghana is also known as British Slave Castle. Ghana and Africans faced a lot of revolutions in their history of more than 500 years till its independent on 6 March 1957. Nowadays, many illegal activities happen in African continents; such as human trafficking, brain drain, etc. This festival is to enable international gathering and alliances and to create and initiate awareness among the African people about education, business and social activities. PANAFEST helps to improve and add the values of community by mobilizing the strength of Africans internationally.

The main activities of this festivals is Grand durbar of Chiefs, rituals, reenactment of slave march, midnight candlelight vigil, music and dramas etc. The festival PANAFEST objects to set up the truth of African culture, tradition, and arts globally; to promote unity among Africans; encourage the Africans to follow the objects, strategies and policies etc.
