Bollywood star Salman Khan sentenced to jail for 5years and fine of Rs. 10,000-/- by Jodhpur Court and sent to jail immediately for killing two blackbucks in October 1998 at Rajasthan. The court left his colleagues Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre and a local person Dushyant Singh for not guilty.
Immediately after magistrate's court, Salman Khan was taken Jodhpur Central Jail. Salman has to appeal to a higher court for bail as the sentence is more than 3 year.

In 2nd October 1998, during the shooting of Hindi film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hein’ Salman shot and killed the blackbucks in Kankani village, near Jodhpur. He sentenced guilty under section 9/51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. He already spent in Jail for 18days in 1998, 2006 and 2007.
