One more story on Indian village culture and tradition where women are forced to marriage, tortured for sex and sometime they face a lot beyond our imagination in their life. The complete scenario of the movie PARCHED is about women (Radhika Apte, Tannishta Chatterjee and Lehar Khan) who used to stay somewhere in the villages of India and faced a lot in their short life.
Filmmaker Ajay Devgan’s co-production’s PARCHED is about a widow, a wife, a daughter and a whore. Directed by Leena Yadav it is a film about social deprived women due to child marriage, sex, dowry system, physical violence, rape, widow life, and many more. It also utters their friendship, simplicity and braveness while facing against the society, culture, tradition and blind systems.
