Even though Aircel is trying to negotiate with ‘interim finance providers’ for intra-circle roaming (ICR) arrangements, but there is no 100% assurance by the insolvency professional Vijaykumar V Iyer. And on this process of shutting down, more than 5000 staffs await for their salary dues since 2 months.
Many Aircel staffs are in trouble due to uncover of their insurance, as not renewed by the company. Many offices and buildings around the country are on hold due to non-payment of rents & electric bills as per the Economic Times information. However, company top executives Vipul Saurabh and Anupam Vasudev quit last month.
On the other hand, Iyer has given assurance to the employees, if it is impossible to begin ICR or restart the network, then all the wages, salaries and loses will be covered as per the insolvency resolution by selling the assets of the company or advance from any creditor.
