National Annual Rural Sanitation Survey (NARSS) a government-sponsored agency submitted survey report to World Bank, UNICEF, NITI Aayog, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, India Sanitation Coalition and Sulabh International as 77% of houses in village areas have toilets and out of which 93% access to toilets by barring the habit of open defecation.
Around 96% villages also certified with Open Defecation Free (ODF) by local district and state departments and officers. It’s really a wonder as Modi Government succeed with his implementation ideas by many alternatives on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with the help of film-stars, sport-persons, celebrities, industrialists and other popular personalities.
It is completely a boost for PM Modi as the percentage was only 40 during 2014 which grew to 77 in 2017.
