Founded in the year 979, Brussels is one of the three capital regions of Belgium.  Brussels is a perfect city for tourists to see the various historical monuments, archaeological buildings and other artworks of past. The main attraction of Brussels is the Grand Palace, which is under UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Grand Palace

Grand Palace is the famous landmark of Brussels and also a prominent tourist destination for tourists. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site which is surrounded by Brussels Town Hall, The King’s House, Guildhalls, and Bread house. Once in two year in the month of August the famous ‘flower carpet’ festive occur in the square ground of Grand Palace; which attracts a large number of tourist here.

The thousand year old Roman Catholic Church is famous for its architecture, art and beautiful interior designing and craft. The statues of St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral and Baroque pulpit are must seen factors inside the cathedral. The other features to see inside the cathedral are the stained glass windows and window of the last judgement.
 

Royal Palace of Brussels

Completed in the year 1934, the Royal Palace construction was began in the year 1783. The Royal Palace is situated in front of Brussels Park. Tourist to Brussels must visit this palace once in their tour. In addition do not forget to see the Heaven of Delight inside the Palace built with 1.4 million Thai Jewel beetles that built by regional artist Jan Fabre and Great White Room inside it.
 

Atomium

The 102 meter high nine steel spheres in the form of a unit atom was build in the year 1958 during the Brussels World Fair’58. Atomium is one of the famous tourist attractions in Brussels. Tourists are allowed to enter inside it. It was engineered by famous engineer André Waterkeyn. The Atomium is opened 365 days in a year from 10 am to 6 pm.
 

Cinquantenaire Park

Created in the year 1880 it is the largest public park and pedestrian area in Brussels. The famous points to see in this park are the triumphal arch which resided in the center entrance of the park; the military museum right side of the park; art & history museum in the left side; auto world just before the art & history museum in left side of the park and the great mosque of Brussels at the right end (north-western corner) of the park.

Apart from these Brussels is one of the famous historical places and has many tourist destinations that attract around a million tourists every year. The Sonian Forest at the outer edge of Brussels is also a seeable place. Don’t forget to eat the Brussels famous chocolate, waffles, and French fries along with many types of beers.
